The Sudanese Accreditation Council (SDAC) participated in the annual meeting of the Arab Accreditation Cooperation (ARAC) during the period 04-08 December 2022 which was held in Cairo with more than 100 participants from Arab accreditation body’s and international organizations and conformity assessment bodies.
The meetings included meting of:
- ARAC Multilateral Recognition Arrangements (MLA).
- ARAC Technical Committees.
- ARAC Communication and marketing Committees.
During the annual Meetings, the ARAC Technical Committees held its twenty-one meeting with a group of conformity assessment bodies and experts in the Arab world, and discussed a number of technical issue related of testing and calibration laboratories, certification and inspection bodies, Also discussed the requirements of international organizations for international recognition ILAC, IAF. In addition to the committee review a Peer evaluation programs accredited by ARAC.
Also, during the current meeting the MLA committee held its eighteenth meeting, headed by Eng. Lana Marashdah, and the committee’s decided to expand the scope of the multilateral recognition agreement, in addition to scheduling the evaluation processes for the member of accreditation bodies in 2023.
During the current meeting, the Media and Communication Committee of the Arab Accreditation body held its seventeenth meeting with the participation of representatives of ARAC member and during meeting the committee discussed a celebration of its 10th anniversary video of the Arab Accreditation Cooperation and Issuing new cartoon videos also developing audio platform for accreditation, quality and conformity assessment (PODCAST) and also discussed capacity building needs and agreed a set of activities for the next year
