The Sudanese Accreditation Council (SDAC) participated in the annual Meetings of the Arab Accreditation Cooperation (ARAC) Committee (ARAC Multilateral Recognition Arrangements (MLA), Technical and communication and marketing Committees) were held in Amman, Jordan during the period 22-26 February 2020.
During the meetings, the Executive Committee held its sixteenth meeting in which the reports of the technical committees and the membership fees for members were discussed, and the strategy to influence internationally. Also, the Authority’s policies for good governance, gender, and the non-discrimination among members were reviewed.
The ARAC Multilateral Recognition Arrangements (MLA)held its thirteenth meeting, headed by Eng. Lana Marashdah, and during the meeting the committee’s work plan was reviewed, and the results of the questionnaire on the transition to ISO / IEC 17011: 2017 were reviewed, also the report on the participation of the agency representatives in the annual meetings of the ILAC and IAF 2019 was review.
During the current meeting the MLA committee discussed amendments of the committee’s documents and brochures for the importance and benefits of signing the mutual recognition agreement also, the latest preparations for the reassessment by ILAC / IAF on the Arab Accreditation and reviewed the updates of Arab accreditation bodies that are not signed to the mutual recognition agreement and applying to join the agreement.
During the meetings, members of the technical committee of the Arab Accreditation body headed by Eng. Talal Harafsheh were met and during this meeting, several topics were discussed, including:
• review Policies under the International Laboratory Accreditation cooperation. And discussing new versions of IEF documents.
• Update the training plan for the Arab Accreditation body.
• Review of transition questionnaires for the new version of ISO / IEC17025: 2017.
In addition to, reconfiguring the subcommittees for the technical committee.
During the meetings, members of the Communication and Media Committee of the Arab Accreditation body headed by Eng. Ibrahim Al Houla were met and during this meeting the final review of the new website, which will be open during the International Day of Accreditation (June 9, 2020).In addition to, the preparing of the initial script video for the Arab Accreditation and Imaging Program in the Arab countries.
