The great efforts that the Sudanese Accreditation Council SDAC has put in since its ‎establishment in 2015 culminated in the successful completion of assessing the first three ‎national laboratories at the end of 2018. The first two laboratories to be accredited are‏:‏
‏- ‏The Sudanese Standard and Metrology Organization’s Central Laboratory; its accredited ‎scope is within the field of food and water testing‏.‏
‏- ‏The Sudanese Electricity Distribution Company’s Central Laboratory for Technical service ‎and Calibration; its accredited scope falls under the field of petroleum product testing
